Winter months in Britain is the best time to visit some of the more remote and luxurious places in the world for your honeymoon. So after enjoying your wedding at Polhawn Fort why not look at somewhere like the Maldives to relax and enjoy your first couple of weeks of married life. The availability of the Fort and suppliers are greater in the winter months and they are a lot more likely to offer a discount during these months. Also your guests are more likely to be available as most families take their holidays during school holidays or spring time.

The time for yourselves and your friends and family to really let their hair down and dance the night away.
As the nights draw in earlier in the winter months it is so much easier getting all your guests together to start the evenings entertainment. Live bands, discos and even throw in some Christmas themed songs and carols. Why not think of the local choir and get them to sing some seasonal carols. Also popular are close up magicians, dancing or singing waiters, a human snow globe or dancing tables!!

Get your wedding dress and rings in the sales around at this time of year. You can hire the Fort for as little as £2,495 for a split mid-week in January. Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday, staying for two nights. Every penny saved with suppliers, counts towards your dream honeymoon. You can really set a romantic setting using lots of candles (which unlike many other venues we allow at the Fort), a real log fire and beautiful fairy lights. During the month of December we provide all our couples with a wonderful large real Christmas Tree, which they can choose to decorate themselves with their own theme or we will decorate it for them.
