Polhawn Fort Wedding Venue Open Saturday celebrates 20 years of successful wedding days.

Polhawn Fort Wedding Venue near Rame Head held a special Open Saturday on 14th December, to celebrate 18 years of Weddings, and launch their design ‘make-over’. The Fort is so well-booked, there is rarely a chance for prospective couples to view it at a weekend, as the secluded venue is hired exclusively for a weekend or mid-week wedding.

On Saturday the atmosphere at The Fort was festive, with canapes, cakes, candy, cocktails and a photographer and florist all on hand. The friendly wedding team at Polhawn Fort offered planning and booking advice. Many of the visiting couples took advantage of the Special Christmas Deal: a booking deposit paid before New Years Eve 2013 secures a 2015 wedding booking at the 2014 price.

Owner John Wickstead said: “It was a great day to celebrate our 18 years hosting weddings. The Fort is in the midst of a facelift including new bathrooms, interior decor and a change of styling towards a more timeless contemporary look. This is a wonderful foil for the Fort’s dramatic Victorian arched and vaulted stone and brick, and a backdrop for the diversity of unique wedding styles we encounter. Though we have hosted nearly two thousand weddings, every couple has individual wishes to fulfil and each occasion is very special to us. This ancient building holds many happy memories.”
