We had the pleasure of staying in a family room at Polhawn Fort for the day and night before, and also the day and night of my nephew’s wedding. Polhawn Fort is a stylish and intimate venue. Our room had wonderful sea views, with comfortable big beds, plenty of storage, and a fantastic en suite bathroom with a large powerful towel rad; this came in handy after my son decided to go swimming in the sea in his PJs! We were easily able to cater for our children (aged seven and nine years’ old) at Polhawn Fort. They had great fun mingling with guests in the large reception area by an open fire, which included challenging several Royal Marines to sumo wrestling matches on a bouncy castle on the wedding day. They got to spend plenty of quality time getting to know their new family, and the friends of the bride and groom. They enjoyed walking my nephew’s dogs on the beach, and exploring the prestigious Polhawn Fort in complete safety. We all felt part of the build up and day of the wedding which was breathtakingly beautiful, exciting, fun and intimate. I would not hesitate to recommend Polhawn Fort to celebrate a special occasion, particularly if you want to be at ease from the moment that you arrive and are catering for a wide age range of family and friends – we felt the love.

Nothing could of prepared us for the most amazing weekend we could have ever dreamed of, when we do think back it still puts a smile back on our faces.
Where do I start? The location, awesome views, amazingly friendly and extremely helpful staff, the fact you can do your own thing and whatever you want, the beautiful building that is totally unique or that you’re dog friendly and our little Jack Russell (our page dog) is very welcome.

The beautiful setting and private beach and the ability to stay at Polhawn and make the wedding exactly as you wanted it . The inside is also a such a cosy lovely venue and the staff made it all so easy.
Just to say a big thank you to you all. Â A fantastic weekend was had by all and the weather was amazing. Â People even went swimming although that could have been to cure hangovers!! What a place to work, you must love it .
